Ozark!

April 25, 2012

Not only fun to say, Ozark also has petrol. Though now Ozark has 14.66 gallons less than Ozark did before we got there. But we gave Ozark $55.11. (It really is fun to say, especially after the fourth or fifth time.)

We’ve travelled 334.7 miles which puts us as 22.07 mpg. Not bad given what we’ve been setting cruise control at.

(I’m late posting this since I was driving, it should have been posted around 1:30pm Arkansas time or two hours ago if you are only here virtually.)

After 339.6 miles, we got 15.384 gallons of gas. 22.07 mpg because the drive has been completely free of hills and valleys, one long plain changing from tan to gray.

Oh, this stop cost $56.29.

Gas somewhere in eastern New Mexico

383.4 miles, 16.484 gallons. They have 86 octane here but we put in 88. Have to check the manual. Spent $65.42. MPG is higher: 23.25, probably because we’ve been losing altitude since C’s now enjoying the faster speeds as well.

Fuel up in Winslow

April 23, 2012

Spent $53.75, went 282 miles on 14.18 gallons, so 19.8 MPG. I’ve been doing more driving and I tend to drive a little fast (plus, speed limit is now 75mph).

Gas in Needles

April 22, 2012

We got gas in Needles where it was 103F. We traveled 275 miles and got 12.614 gallons of gas for an mpg of 21.8.

Note: the first exit’s gas was significantly more expensive than later stations. Silly us. I got a small DQ cone for “free” but it was actually very expensive.
